Curatorial Team

GONG Jow-jiun

Currently serves as a professor at the Graduate Institute of Art Creation and Theory, Tainan National University of the Arts. Since 2009, he has been the chief editor of the quarterly Art Critique of Taiwan (ACT). In recent years, he has continued to engage in curatorial work in the contemporary art field, serving as the curatorial team director for the Tainan City Government’s Cultural Affairs Bureau “2022 Mattauw Earth Triennial: One Thousand Names of the Zeng-wen River,” winning as Gold Winner of GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2023.

HUNG Yu-cheng

A student in the doctoral program of the Graduate Institute of Art Creation and Theory, Tainan National University of the Arts. Taipei National University of the Arts. Currently the director of Kelio Arts. She has mainly engaged in cultural administration, arts and culture environment research, project planning, text interviews, and curating. Communicating and interacting with the audience through diverse creative industry forms and art performances.

YANG Zhi-bin

Currently serves as the secretary-general of the National Association for the Promotion of Community Universities. He has served as a researcher at the Taipei City Government’s Department of Civil Servant Development, president of Beitou Community College, secretary-general of the Community Empowering Society, and executive director of the Shuishalian University Town Office at National Chi Nan University, dedicating himself to community learning, local knowledge, and civic deliberation, and public-private partnership in river governance.

SHEN Chao-liang

He graduated from the Graduate Institute of Applied Media Arts at the National Taiwan University of Arts. He is currently a professor in the Department of Photography and VR Design at Huafan University and a director of the 10th National Culture and Arts Foundation. He has served as a photojournalist for the Liberty Times, deputy convener, adjunct associate professor at National Taiwan University of Arts / Taipei National University of the Arts, convener of the Photo ONE Taipei International Photo Art Festival.

SHEN Yu-rung

Born in 1988 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, he has a PhD from the Graduate Institute of Art Creation and Theory, Tainan National University of the Arts. He currently serves as a full-time assistant professor in the Photography and VR Design Department, Huafan University and an adjunct assistant professor at the Graduate Institute of Applied Arts, Tainan National University of the Arts.

YEN Shih-hua

Currently serves as the executive director of the Foundation of Historic City Conservation and Regeneration, adjunct assistant professor-level expert at the Department of Architecture, National Cheng Kung University, adjunct lecturer at the Department of Interior Design, Tainan University of Technology, and adjunct lecturer at the Department of Spatial Design, Kun Shan University.

CHEN Guan-jhang

Artist and cultural researcher. Since 2009, he has collaborated with the Siraya Wangyi (female priest), initiating cultural research and story collection, through which he touches upon language dispersion, multilingual translation, and “island language” narratives. His works take the form of archives, writing, images, installations, etc., presenting the thoughts and achievements of cultural excavation.

CHIANG Mei-ju

From Xiaying, Tainan. She earned a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Graduate Institute of Studies in Documentary & Film Archiving at Tainan National University of the Arts. She is the co-founder of The Southern Winds Studio and the deputy executive director of the Hai-Chian-Ying Cultural and Art Foundation in her hometown of Xiaying. She conveys local humanistic narratives through publishing, editing, event curation, local design, and cultural administration.

Joe HUANG

Currently serves as the curator for the South Taiwan Film Festival, an independent film worker, and the executive director of the Southern Taiwan Film Association. From 2012 to 2023, he has served as the curator, artistic director, international liaison, competition coordinator, and projection engineer for the South Taiwan Film Festival.

LIU Zhen-yu

LIU was born in the winter of 1995 in Changhua. He holds a Master’s degree in Film Aesthetics from the Tainan National University of the Arts, and a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Architecture at Feng Chia University. Currently working at an architectural firm (IHES design), he engages in architectural design, urban space, and environmental research.
